The Toy Barn

Hoskin Ryan prepared preliminary and final engineering design services for this 5.5 acre commercial storage facility located at the northeast corner of Cave Creek and Peak View Roads. Substantial preliminary planning and engineering was required for the site due to drainage and infrastructure concerns. Hoskin Ryan performed the initial survey for the site, both for boundary control and topography. A collaborative effort was required with the architect to locate the numerous building and associated improvements while respecting the main wash located entirely along the northern frontage of the project site. Off-site infrastructure improvements were required in the form of streets, sewer, water, drainage. The site was designed utilizing an alternative method of underground retention. Using Hancor’s underground arch product, Hoskin Ryan saved the developer a significant amount on construction costs and schedule as this product does not require deep excavations and is very quick to install.
